Senior moves around Lake Oconee
Moving a parent or yourself into a senior community is a different job from an ordinary move. The new home is smaller, the day is tiring, and family often cannot be there. GoldStrap Moving plans these moves around the new floor plan and finishes them the same day.
We work in and around the Lake Oconee area, including moves into and out of independent living, assisted living and memory care communities in Greensboro.
How a senior move works
- Decide what fits. Send us the room sizes or floor plan and photos of the furniture. We tell you which large pieces will fit before move day.
- Agree one written price. You know the cost before you book.
- Protect and move. Every piece is padded and wrapped. We work with the community on elevators, doors and move-in times.
- Set up the room. Furniture is placed, and the bed is built and ready to sleep in that evening.
- Walk through. We check each room with you or your family member before we leave.
For family who cannot be there
Many of these moves are arranged by a son or daughter in another city. You can plan the whole move with us by phone, text and photos. We send photos of the finished room when the job is done, and you have one person to call from the estimate to the end of move day.
What does not fit
Downsizing leaves furniture behind. Tell us where each piece should go: to a family member's home nearby, to a storage unit you have arranged, or staying at the house for now. We can deliver to more than one address on the same day.

We can tell you what will physically fit. The decisions about what to keep are yours and your family's.
